Applied Pollination Institute of Science
Pollination is a critical input for 90% of global food production — and growers manage it blind. APIS is building the credential, and the advisor network, to change that.
"I've watched growers spray for pests that weren't there, and invest in pollination products and services that went nowhere, when the real problem — poor pollination — went unmanaged. The true gap isn't bees, or technology. It's knowledge and I aim to change that."
— Angelita De la Luz PhD, Founder & CEOWhy APIS

The Problem
Pollination drives yield for 90% of global food production. One wrong decision on hive density, timing, placement, or pesticide use during a short bloom window can directly cost a grower their crop.
The CCA exam — the gold standard for crop advisors — mentions "pollination" exactly once. No advisor-level credential exists. The professionals growers already trust have no structured framework to advise on the input that matters most.
APIS fills that gap — with a rigorous, field-validated curriculum built by someone who has worked on pollination across 12 crops, 6 countries, and 150+ grower fields.
